Best Live Music Venue in Calgary?

The Ranchmans club is one of the oldest, most famous, and may currently be the best live music venue in Calgary once again. This past week King Calgary had the opportunity to go listen to 20 country music acts all play consecutively on the big stage at an industry appreciation and talent showcase even by Sakamoto Agency the evening before the CCMA Awards ceremony was held in YYC.

In my last post I shared an update and review specifically on the Ranchman’s bar, the food and drinks they serve there, the general vibe of the place, and the virutally completely unchanged layout. I also included a couple of sneak peak images of bands who performed that night, but this post I want to list all of the ones that played that afternoon so you can see what a great group it was. It’s a long list of performers, some you haven’t yet heard of and a few who are already putting songs onto the music charts. Listening to this much music is one of the most fun Calgary experiences we have had.

Take a look at all of these names and see if you recognize any from Country radio, it will be interesting to look back at it in a few years and realize you could have seen all these country music musicians perform in one place and for free at Ranchmans Club. Rising Country Music Star Berlyn

I love it when I get to hear a new artist who is full of talent and not yet broke into the music industry. The young artists are always so creative, full of talent, and you can hear their musical inspirations and influences in everything they perform. This night, a young lady who is brand new for up on Ranchmans Club stage and sang a quick cover song, it was so well done. It’s one of the few times that I heard the entire crowd of professional country recording artists and recording industry insiders all saying “what’s her name? How do you spell that? She’s take good.” Check this short clip of Berlyn, I think you’re going to know her name soon.

Country Music Highlight of the Night

The highlight of the night was hearing Aaron Goodvin and Meghan Patrick sing a brand new song that will be released soon and is sure to hit the top of the country music charts and be played on every country music radio station. This song was a good one and this is the very first live performance.
