Where to Watch Live Theatre
The Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium is the premier venue for hosting live Calgary theatre productions and also hosts a variety of live concerts. The Broadway across Canada touring shows that frequent the venue are among the highest quality that can be viewed anywhere in the world of live theatre anywhere. Not to mention that the Jube Auditorium is such a wonderfully crafted facility with amazing acoustics and a great set up to see any show.

Parking at The Jubilee Auditorium
There is plenty of onsite parking at the theatre, both in an open lot on the north side of the building and in a parkade on the south side of the building.

The parking is via the same pay to park machines that are located everywhere in Calgary so most people will be familiar with their operation. The total cost to park for the duration of a theatre show or concert at the Southern Alberta Jubilee theatre for an evening is currently $7.00 and there are machines to pay located right at the entrance doors. Just make sure to remember your license plate number.

North and South Theatre Entrances
There are entrances on both the north and the south ends of the building, so regardless of where your park, or even if you arrive by the c-train (located at the SAIT station) you are very close to and can easily get inside the theatre.

Jubilee Theatre Lobby and Amenities
Once inside the theatre there are a host of services available to you as a patron. Most services are easy to find and located right around the perimeter. There is a large coat check, a cash bar serving liquor, bank machines, large bathrooms, and two seating areas.

The lobby also has a Concession stand which sells a variety of simple food and beverages. There is usually no line up before a theatre production, but always a line up at any intermission break that may happen. They also do offer an option to pre-order and pay for your intermission Concession purchases before the show starts.

Live Music at The Jubilee

For some events they have live music playing in the lobby. On this night they had an East Coast Fiddle band playing traditional eastern Canadian music.
Come From Away Musical

The most recent night we attended the theatre was for the production of the musical called Come From Away. This is a Canadian musical written about the town of Gander, Newfoundland and how they hosted over 7000 strangers for a week because of the 9-11 tragedy shutting down air travel. One of the reasons we decided to move to Calgary

Table at the entrance lined with theatre programs for tonight’s production of Come From Away.

Jubilee Theatre Interior
The actual theatre interior is such a great venue, there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. In addition to the main floor, there are two balconies both of which still have a great view of the stage and fantastic sound reception. The ticket prices to all events are most expensive on the lower level and closer to the stage, they get cheaper as you go farther back and up, generally divided into about 6 different pricing tiers.

We go to virtually every show that comes to the Jubilee simply because the facility is so top notch that it brings out the best in every performance. There are ticket deals that can be found and there are seasons tickets available for the Broadway theatre productions. For us, we recommend getting your tickets either immediately when a show is announced if you are particular about where you wish to be seated, or wait until the week you wish to go and buy your tickets online here if you want to try to save some money on the ticket price and are flexible on the dates you go and the seats you buy. We often do this as is the best deal around on theatre tickets.
